The App freezes--what should I do?
The first solution is to wait several seconds to see if the panorama will load. If it remains frozen then it is advisable to shut down the smartphone, restart it and then restart the app. It is best to restart the phone before using the app to refresh the phone's memory.
What smartphones are compatible with the Virtual Traveler VR apps?
The apps have been tested on the iPhone 5, 6, 6s, and 7 (regular and plus versions), as well as the iPod Touch 5th generation. For Android users, the apps have been tested on the Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, Google Pixel, Xiomi Mi 4i, Xiomi Redmi 3, Xiomi Redmi Note 3. If you have had success (or trouble) with other smartphones, contact us via the website and it will be listed here.
Why do the videos and photos appear shaky or sometimes vanish?
You must keep the white navigation dot squarely in the center of the media icon or the photo will vanish and the video will be interrupted.
Can I move within a panorama?
Sorry, this is not an Occulus Rift app. While you can easily move between panoramas, within each scene you are limited to a fixed position. Everything described in the narration will be easily visible from that vantage point.
Why do the images appear "soft" or "fuzzy"?
This is a limitation of the camera, which shoots at 72 dpi resolution. When split between 2 screens, the resolution drops to 960 x 720. Also, the screen resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 for fast loading and to accommodate most smartphone screens.
Why does the app only work in fullscreen mode and not in VR mode on my smartphone?
If you do not find a dual screen option on the app start screen, it is because your phone does not have a gyrometer. Look below the FAQ for a list of compatible phones

Here is a list of Android Smartphones that are known to have a gyrometer and can run the Virtual Traveler apps in VR Mode
